Meet me at the corner of rhythm and blues, where we don’t slide in secrecy, become dancing notes that intertwine as we harmonize.
The hours escape us, immersed in boundless talks of nothings and somethings, richness in our melodic fusion.
Meet me at the corner where the moon spotlights our presence, where we vibe and synthesize over chardonnay.
John’s Got A Love Jones…
Lady. You're Makin’ Me High. I Adore You. I Love You. So Into You. You. Superstar. Tell Me. Whatever You Want. That's The Way Love Goes.
Inspiration…

The first collab of the year and I’m honored to work with John Noire on the poetry + mixtape. Delivering something smooth for Valentine’s Day.
I don’t know about you but this compilation transports me to the 90s and 2000s of watching romance movies and collecting my favorite CDs + cassettes. Singing solo in the car as I strain my throat to belt out notes that I had no business trying to reach. But I sing like that now so not much has changed (lol). Let me know which R&B song(s) have you singing like this.
When I asked John to do this collab with me, our visions were immediately aligned as we brainstormed the concept. Originally drawn to his series Life Told Through Rap, a collection of fictional stories using songs and videos, I anticipated he would produce something eloquent and alluring. When I read it, I thought “Nah I’m not touching that. That’s poetry.”, and I wanted to match his nostalgic flow. Instead, I chose to write a separate poem weaving music terminology to mirror the songs and illustrate romantic chemistry.
Thank you John for hopping on this collab with me!
